Dilwalon ki Diwali

It's that time of the year again.  Lights . Sweets (only soan papdi)  Pujo  Mela  Cold tinge in the air warning of the coming winters.  Raavan Dahan A Possible World Cup Win (?) November has been novembering the way November should november. And it is making me elated. Everywhere I see, there is warmth in the midst of chilly air, an overture to the end of this year for being, well just kind.  Delhi, my city, lights up like never before during this time and they only come off after one is done with Christmas and New Year Celebrations or until people get tired of turning them on and off every morning. Everyone is happy, from the uncles who get to enjoy delicious meals to the aunties cleaning their entire homes, often by overbearing maids. How they spot dust particles on a vase when the maid just wiped it clean 2 seconds before, often baffles me. And the maid. Children are happy stocking up on crackers and well, relishing delicious food.   Oh and als...

Khwaab ⇄ Silsile

 "dekha ek khwaab toh ye silsile hue, dur tak nigaho mein ye gul khile hue." These two lines have been on my mind since I heard them, and that was only a week ago - thanks to the endless Instagram reels. Ah, the joys of mindlessly scrolling through an endless abyss of content. It's truly a modern-day treasure trove of wisdom, isn't it? I mean if your algorithm hasn't been set in a way that pushes out only "uncle ji mujhe paneeee pila dijiye" or "us bhai us" dank memes, I guess you can somewhat learn something about some things that can actually help you like it did to me (cue dramatic eye roll). But hey, don't forget to check out the name of this blog, because it's totally relevant (not really, but let's pretend).  These lines have resonated with me so much that I have also taken the liberty of transcribing them onto a piece of fancy paper.
