Dilwalon ki Diwali

It's that time of the year again.
Lights.
Sweets (only soan papdi)
Pujo
Mela
Cold tinge in the air warning of the coming winters.
Raavan Dahan
A Possible World Cup Win (?)

November has been novembering the way November should november. And it is making me elated. Everywhere I see, there is warmth in the midst of chilly air, an overture to the end of this year for being, well just kind.

Delhi, my city, lights up like never before during this time and they only come off after one is done with Christmas and New Year Celebrations or until people get tired of turning them on and off every morning. Everyone is happy, from the uncles who get to enjoy delicious meals to the aunties cleaning their entire homes, often by overbearing maids. How they spot dust particles on a vase when the maid just wiped it clean 2 seconds before, often baffles me. And the maid. Children are happy stocking up on crackers and well, relishing delicious food.

Oh and also this time around, Bhai has decided to let go of his usual tradition and grace us on the day of Diwali with his most anticipated, greatest of all, the SPYverse of B'wood - Tiger 3. I do remember going for Ek Tha Tiger in 2012 and making up my mind that Salman Khan is the real OG and there is no one more beautiful than Katrina Kaif. Even after 11 years, I still fully believe in one of these ideas.

I hope you all have a Diwali filled with sweets other than soan papdi, and indulge in some dil diyan gallan.

( be cautious of the Air Pollution though, if you live in/around Delhi NCR. It's deadly. )
